Title: Revived
Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Author: Cat Patrick
Release Date: May 8th, 2012Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
As a little girl, Daisy Appleby was killed in a school bus crash. Moments after the accident, she was brought back to life.
A secret government agency has developed a drug called Revive that can bring people back from the dead, and Daisy Appleby, a test subject, has been Revived five times in fifteen years. Daisy takes extraordinary risks, knowing that she can beat death, but each new death also means a new name, a new city, and a new life. When she meets Matt McKean, Daisy begins to question the moral implications of Revive, and as she discovers the agency's true goals, she realizes she's at the center of something much larger -- and more sinister -- than she ever imagined.

Admittedly, Revived isn't exactly the type of book I'd run to, but it just sounds SO good. I can't even imagine what it's like to be revived after death, but it sounds sort of selfish. Death has to be horrible once, but being brought back to life only to go through it again- or multiple times, such as the main character- sounds so much worse.
What awesome title are you waiting for this Wednesday?
This one sounds really interesting and the cover is very eye-catching as well. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I agree with you that this type of book isn't typically something I'd like to get my hands on first but... Revive sounds twisted-ly interesting! Thanks for sharing this. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat pic, sounds like a great book

This cover drew me in before I even read the synopsis. It may just be one of the best 2012 covers. Revived sounds a bit like the Alchemy of Forever by: Avery Williams, only more sinister and scandalous.
ReplyDeleteMy WoW: Through the Looking Glass
I loved Forgotten and I am definitely intrigued with Revived! I think the summary just won me over. Great pick! :)
